Haha sorry i should have said I have the new Circuit Sword. It should have built in wifi. I have tried turning it off and on with the mode button and i have re-flashed the image on the sd card with no luck. It's not a really big deal as I can just get a dongle but I thought someone may have something else i could try.

Ok i have no idea why but it's working fine now. The only thing i did was charge they battery overnight. though the battery monitor hasn't moved so i thought it didn't work but whatever at least the wifi works now.

Edit

and its busted again. it must be shorting out on something. well i will just use a dongle i guess.

Update

I was having some more problems with the usb port so i had to take the build apart and have a look. I found the the solder points were touching the wifi chip and shorting it out that made the wifi fail and the gameboy freeze. I justy put some kapton tape on both the solder points of the usb port and the wifi chip now everything works fine. So if you have the same problem I did just make sure you have kapton tape and you use lots of it.
