[Kite's Circuit Sword] Mode button constantly registered as pressed.

Post by Marascon » Fri Apr 27, 2018 5:01 am

Hey there,

i have a new issue with my Kite circuit sword.

I just soldered a new mode switch on (the ones that are recommended in the wiki (https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... own-Issues))

but now it is registering as a constant pushed in state.

as far as i know my soldering iron was not to hot either (230 Celsius) so i hope i did not burn any lines

There is a little hole near the mode button that got some solder in accidentally, but that would seem very odd that could be the problem

seems like its a faulty mode button. a little bend and it works like supposed.

i'll report back when i know for sure.

If it happens while the case is closed, check to make sure it's not shorting out on the USB-C port. I had to put kapton tape on mine.
