Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
Hi Kite!
Instead of opening a new thread, I thought I'd add to this one since my issue seems to me similar:
I got a CS and a CS Lite.
I'm currently assembling the CS with the analog volume option.
Sound works, but the analog wheel doesn't change the volume.
The config gives me the following in three locations (middle, high and low):
When I measure, as you describe, with a multimeter, I get the following:
When I change the dial, AB and CB don't change.
I also tried on the CS Lite, and I actually have issues getting a proper reading on AB, and when I measure BC, the value I get doesn't change either when I change the wheel. But I haven't tested that board yet.
Full disclosure - I'm an electronics beginner, so quite possible that I did sth incorrect.
Could you help me to troubleshoot?
Thanks

Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
Hi, could you take some pics of the back board? And early on in this thread there was an issue with on of the connectors not soldered properly, so take a look there too? Pics of both sides might help
The CSL back board is wired a little differently so might not exactly apply

Hi!
Here are the pictures of the CS board: I read about the connector but am not quite sure what connector could potentially require resoldering - would it be possible to indicate this on a picture?

Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
This is the connector in question:
Check the back of it, is there continuity? You could check this by turning everything off, plugging in the cable to the board and the back board, and using a multimeter probing the pins on the connector on each end (matching the colours) and you should have a connection end to end on each of the three!
Just to clarify, you are using the small 3pin cable in this connector and connecting it up the the "AVOL" matching connector on the CSO?

Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
Uhhh...
So I tried to wire up the 3 pin cable that comes from the 6 pin connector cable (where the other 3 pin connector goes to the power switch):
From what you write I understand this is not correct...?
So which cable do I connect? the other three cables that came with the kit have the connectors / plugs only on one end and are "naked" on the other side?
Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
I tested "my" wiring - the connectors of the black, red, yellow wired connect....
But of course it's not the connector you indicated (for which I don't have a connection cable...)

Re: Analog volume wheel doesn´t work
Are those the only cables you got? That one you have plugged in is for the L/R buttons..
You should have received a cable with 3pins ones end and 3pins the other, you see this pic, the cable should have been included:
If you don't have it, send me an email and I'll replace it. It plugs in to the back board on the connector named "AVOL"
