Solder bridging screen pins

Hi all,
I seem to have the same issue seen by a few users here. I have a CM3 board that seems to power up correctly, but only shows white lines on the screen. Using a blow up photo I can see that a few of the pins on the boards screen connector are joined by a stray bit of solder.

I may be able to use some solder braid to take this off but, as it is sat on the plastic of the connector, I am a little worried about melting or burning something.
Any ideas as to how I can sort this?
Thanks!

Take a look at the known issue on github:
https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... -bit-weird specifically the Solution 2, where there is a video of another customer solving it.. that may help!
Give it a go, and if all goes wrong please email me and I'll sort it out (as it is a defect in the first place).

For de-solder bridges: I watched some videos from Louis Rossmann on Youtube and he teached me the total opposite I did before: he adds a lot of flux and fresh solder to briged connections and they disappear!

Tacky flux is great stuff for this, LOADS of flux

his videos make it look easy, because he uses good flux (not from those 'pens') and good solder

Hi Kite,
Well I believe I have cleared off all the solder points but still no joy with my screen. Here is the newly cleaned solder points, marked with where I had to clear the from:

And here is what I get on the LCD panel:

I made sure to be very careful when trimming down the screen and took a photo once done, so I dont think that is the issue either:

Any ideas mate? If I send it back to you, I will include the screen too so you can check both parts. Thanks!

Yeah send me an email and we'll sort that out! Have you tried the 320x240 screen?
Don't forget to make the right changes in config.txt depending which screen you are using
