Cannot scan or connect to wifi

I'm hoping to get some community feedback. I started discussing with Kite privately, but was thinking some of this may be helpful for others in case they come across a similar issue. To break it down, I'm having an issue with the wifi...
The interface is detected, but I cannot scan and see any networks. I have tried using the wpa_supplicant.conf file, set my localization settings (US), did a clean install, split the case open and tested that nothing was pressing/shorting against it, and I put kapton tape over the Wifi chip for when it is put together. On the "Connect to a network" screen I can only see two options: one is blank/empty, and the other is Hidden ESSID. I have not been able to connect to a wireless network at all.
Anyone have any ideas or tips to try? I've attached a few logs on this post with the Wifi enabled and disabled in the HUD.

Can you try the following:
1. Plug in USB keyboard and run:
Code: Select all
sudo rm -f /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/wifi-country.service
2. Button combo to disable wifi
3. Reboot
4. Once booted back up, wait 10secs or so then do the wifi enable combo
5. Try searching for APs again?
Some useful output may be to run the command:

No change with deleting the service, disabling the wifi, rebooting, and trying again.
With the command I see soft and hard blocks both set to no.

I finally found my USB WiFi adapter, and successfully got it to work. Still no luck on the built-in chip.

Hi Kite, happy new year! Just following up to see if you have any other ideas that I could try. I still am not able to get the built-in WiFi to work.

Kite, I just e-mailed you the logs as requested, and attached them here. I had attached some in the OP as well. I included both set of logs, with and without WiFi enabled per your Troubleshooting page. Hopefully you can find something I didn't see.

It looks good from the logs, can you try:
Plug in a USB keyboard and press F4 to get to shell
Run:
Code: Select all
sudo rm -f /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/wifi-country.service
Power off and back on again
Do wifi DISABLE, wait 10 secs
Do wifi ENABLE, wait 10 secs
Scanning for APs now? Can you show a picture of where it doesn't work? Also if you try literally putting it on top of the AP itself.. max signal

I was following this topic because I was having the same issue after running the latest update. I couldn't find any APs while scanning. Wifi indicator showing the exclamation point over the signal indicator. Scan would complete almost instantly.
I seem to have fixed mine and thought I should share here.
I toggled off WiFi while I waited for kites reply here and went on with playing my games. I didn't use the cso over the next couple of days. Today I saw kites most recent reply and started up the cso to try the steps he gave. Once the cso booted up, I re-enabled wifi and it instantly connected to my wifi.
So, I'm not sure if the solution was rebooting while the wifi was disabled, keeping the device powered down for a couple of days, or something else entirely. Hope this helps someone.
