WiFi Issues

Post by LilTrublMakr » Thu May 16, 2019 9:51 am

So I just got done revamping my CS and now I an having WiFi issues.

When I get to the main screen, it will not connect to WiFi. I go in to the RetroPie menu and go to connect to a WiFi network and I get a message saying "No wlan0 interface detected".

Long story short, it only happens when I have the case screwed together.
I have tried:
Turning WiFi off, waiting 30 sec, and turning it back on
Replacing the kapton tape
Reflowing the WiFi module
Putting the old CM3 back in

All of which yield the same results. Any ideas of how to fix this?

So every time when the case is apart it works fine? Is there anything that is pressing on the CM3 when the case is being closed? The cables for the back board perhaps may get in the way.

Could you grab the logs files https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... -log-files when it does the no wifi thing? Ideally as the last thing or "just happened" state

Update on this, it seems to be plugged in or not rather than the case being open or not. I can plug it in and start it and WiFi works but if I start it from battery, it doesn't. It stays on if I start it plugged in and unplug it once I see it has a connection. I can honestly live with that.
