Hoping not but yea I'm starting to think that might be the case too. Waiting to hear back from Kite on if i can solder a power source to the pi itself just as a test.

Ok that's fine, the 5v pins will be the 'battery voltage' or the USB input voltage, which is close enough to 5v so that all looks ok..

It hasn't brought us any closer to an answer, however the Pi is getting power, and generating 3.3v itself.. Do you have another SD to try? And you are sure you are using the image from here: https://github.com/kiteretro/Circuit-Sw ... e/releases ?

If you've done that and tried another SD, best thing would be to send me an email and I'll give you a return address and I'll debug for you and replace/repair as necessary!
