I've just finished my GBZ, I put the SD into a game shell in order to take it off when I have to put new games on it.
I connected the SD on Windows and Linux using ad SD adapter, but can see only the boot partition, How can I access the other partition? Is there another way as connecting the running GBZ on LAN?

SSH File Transfer. Use any (S)FTP Client to connect to your gameboy via wifi to be able to transfer files. By the way: the SD card is ext4 file formart, thus you are not able to see it using windows. If you want to see your SD card you need to mount it on Linux. Maybe in an virtual environment.

It is neither recognized in linux.
The problem is I have the old one, not the Pi W. So I have to put the SD into my old raspberry 1 :/

neither recognized by linux ? which linux ? which machine ? should be as easy as plug and go to see the retropie partition

In Ubunto I see all my SD card contend an can full edit it.

I have a desktop with Ubuntu 13. When I plug in the SD I see only a boot partition where I cannot find the rom folder.

You can also use SMB aka Windows File Sharing if you have not turned that off in retropie. Should show up as //retropie/roms

Ok, but almost every single other response was about using SSH or SFTP, when SMB is often simpler for beginners, and always available on a fresh install (assuming Wifi is working).

@emaborsa If you have another Pi available, you can connect a monitor and keyboard to it, connect it via ethernet to your network, copy the ROMS over, then move the SD card back to your GBZ.

I've done this several times between different GBZ builds when I was having wifi issues with one.
