Speaker audio works. Headphone jack silent [RESOLVED]

Complete continuity checks worked across all GPIO. Speaker works great. Option button volume up/down works, on-screen options all working. I did not solder the “skip” jumper.

So, now, if I plug in headphones, the speaker audio muted but I get no sound through known working headphones. Unplug headphones and the speaker sound returns. Ideas for what to check? Did I bridge Left and Right soldering the jack or something?

Probably need to reflow the headphone jack pads? Also, check the inside of the jack to see if any solder got sucked in. Might need to reflow the pi gpio as outlined here: https://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php/ ... o_sound.21

If those don't work, please post pictures of all your soldering with close ups of the jack.

Is there a continuity reference I can check from the jack to somewhere else on the board?

Post pictures of the jack all around it makes it easier to know what your work looks like to help fix the issue.

Finally got it apart (snapped screen bezel posts in the process) and close examination of jack shows an incomplete solder spot on right side looking into jack. I am betting this is ground/sleeve. Going to fix this since it is obviously a problem and test. It does explain everything.

Well, that was definitely the problem. Bridged the gap and headphones working great. Thanks for helping talk me through It.
