Been saving for months and was finally able to bite the bullet for a new printer:

Wife made a condition that I had to ditch one of the two I had already (printers and the workbench are eating up a lot of downstairs space that she feels could be better spent being taken up by another dozen totes of holiday decorations) I opted to keep the Select Mini and a coworker is buying the Select Plus from me so I know it's going to be in good hands. (and I got about half the cost of this one in the process)

Gave me a shiver to be able to hit the Submit button though. Then freak out as it was denied because the credit card's fraud detection wanted to make sure it was me (good service that). Still gave me a shiver when I hit Submit again. :)

Now I have to wait a month for it to ship......

Gives me time to finish my mod(s) to the Mini in the meantime.

Awesome, you're going to love it! BTW, a month wait isn't bad... Wermy and I waited 3.

And they moved the shipping date on their table.

Twice.

I know it's going to be worth the wait, but the waiting sucks.

In the meantime, I've managed to purchase 2 "As-Is" Monoprice Select Mini printers off Ebay for cheap. Based off the descriptions, I was pretty sure they just needed firmware updates. I was right.

Did the heat bed rewire mods to them. Added glass beds and z-spacers as well. Both are printing pretty well. I'm gifting one to a co-worker who does for everyone else in the office all the time but is tight on cash. The other one I may mod a bit more and set up for my boys for this summer. That will depend on how much they drive their mother crazy.

Now I'm eyeing up the Creality Ender 3. Waiting for more reviews on it, but it's looking pretty sweet. Large build area and power resume.

I want my $800 gummy bears!! :)
