@kubino this is excellent!
this bracket should make things so much easier holding Kite's 640x480 screen in place. thanks a whole lot for sharing.

I've followed your conversation on discord and was just wondering about the slight displacement of the screen. it seems to be a bit off to the right. but that is due to the screen specs itself, isn't it?! does it hurt much when playing games? and will it be still noticeable when putting a screen protector on?!

Thank you. Very good! Maybe you make a version with a PSP joystick between dpad and ABXY buttons.

You can split the model in usefull parts for printing without support. The parts can be glued.

Displacement on the right side is due to design of the screen. Basicaly cca 1.5-2mm is hidden behind bracked (it's visible on my pictures). I see few options for this :
  • - software tweak (Kite had already idea to make display 640x470pixels)
  • - modify the screen like Kite did. (dissasembly and cutting the white area as much as possible to get pixel perfect screen, not recommended for beginers)
  • - CNC cut to case, but by this action you won't be able to use any existing screen protector.

A PSP1000 joystick model would be sweet!

I upload my model on monday.

Edit: I remember the dimensions. 16,1x16,1mm square is the base.

should be easy to split in slic3r if you like support free prints, But I recommend to print at once. You will eliminate issues with alligning and there is not much support used in this print.

I understand your way, and its ok. You dont have to do it. Your bracket is great as it is....

Just think over it. The holder is ideal for modularity. Just one example, a lot of thinking is still needed, how and at all: One base part (in two individual parts, frame and holes) and different attachments. Once with two buttons, two buttons and a joystick, two buttons and a trackball, two buttons in nonsquare... etc.
