Ant's Circuit Sword STL Files (joystick, shoulder button, exhaust fan cartridge)
Ant's Circuit Sword STL Files (joystick, shoulder button, exhaust fan cartridge)
Edit: Those looking for the boards can use this:
Hi all, my first attempt at making a thread here on sudomod. I've made some .stl files that I think will be helpful to other folks out there.
First is a joystick in the bottom left of the case. You will still need to epoxy it down. The screws are from Amazon M1.8x5mm https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FK ... UTF8&psc=1. You will need to clip off a couple of mm to make them short enough so they don't push into the case when you screw the joystick in. The gameboy case is so thick you may need to add a piece of paper in the joystick cap to make it extend a little longer. Ensure the bracket is glued as close as possible to the case so that the joystick is as low as possible when mounted. Solder your wires from the right and wrap them around and up the hole through kites board - if kites board presses too hard on the back of the joystick it can make it not return to center - don't forget your kapton tape! I designed my own center joystick holder and modeled it off of @HoolyHoo 's Screen Bracket w/joystick. Since my design is basically the same as his I won't be posting that here.
Second is my back button design. I really like how the the start/select buttons feel and look so I made these files. This works with Kite's back button board. The drill guide is for a 2mm drill and the final drill diameter is a 3mm drill.

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
Here are some more back buttons... it uses the standard DMG buttons/pad
I've added a blank and CM3 version.
Finally, here is the fan bracket I used. It mounts the fan into the cartridge and forces the hot air out of the case. I hot glued a JST plug next to the fan so that the back of the case can still be completely removed. You must use a low profile heatsink. The one provided by kite works great.I've added a blank and CM3 version.

Also I forgot to include the joystick drill guide. If I remember correctly the PSP joysticks are 10mm... make sure to measure yours though - I don't remember off the top of my head.

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
I love these brackets. This may be obvious to others, but there were a couple things that had me stumped. Let me preface this with the fact that I haven't wired this up yet, but I DID check with a multi-meter. I had been planning on using only L1/R1. If you use all four, the bracket sits backwards in the case (Left is Right and Right is Left). Will this matter? I doubt it as you are telling Retropie what button you want to use for everything, heck... you could use Start for L1 if you wanted.... but my OCD is going CRAZY!
Second, I already had my HDMI board set up with the 2 risers soldered in. You will need to remove those if you use this bracket because AntFJ was awesome and made a bracket that does EVERYTHING!
Thanks again for this design and sharing your STL files. I will finally have all four back buttons

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
what would the dammage be if I asked for two set to be made?
would need the main mount and the mount for the second thumbstick
would need them in black, due to a two tone theme.
allso the game cartridge does look interesting, should be in classic grey
but for the back, Im going with four tacktile buttons layout thats on the other side of the kite's backboard.
so:
2x main bracket for psp stick (black)
2x bracket for 2nd psp stick (black)
2x gamecartridge with the fan holes in the natural grey
would need the main mount and the mount for the second thumbstick

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
Someone PM'd me for the center screen/center bracket. As I mentioned before that screen bracket is based off Hoolyhoo's design so I won't give that .stl file away. I will give the part that I designed though. It can be added to any screen bracket if you know how to manipulate .stl files.
Here is an image showing how it lines up.

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
I have no problem making you the 2nd joysticks and the cartridge. I can't make the screen bracket for you - it isn't my design. You'll have to go to Hoolyhoo's for sale thread to get it from him.
I foresee a few issues... I don't have black or grey filament and shipping to Norway (from the US) may be cost prohibitive. Is there no local 3d printing service you can use? If you absolutely must have me make these I'll need to buy the filament and figure out how much shipping will cost.

Re: Kite's Circuit Sword Fan Mount, Joystick, and Back Buttons
how much would it cost for:
2x bracket for 2nd psp stick (need to be black)
2x gamecartridge with the fan holes, (one orange and one in black)
with shipping to Norway?
I dont have a 3D printer and people over here want 100 bucks for the printing and another 20 for shipping with normal mail :/ (greedy bastards)
