I'm considering spraying mine with some plasti-dip to achieve the same soft feel as a 3ds. That being said the 3ds joystick is much smoother than the PSP. They are just harder to fit in the case due to their larger size.markolomew wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 11:12 amYes, the 3ds cap is larger and has better contour. Print one of these out, it's a game changer.

hey folks. I've got a project file that you can upload right into cura, settings and all.
additionally I edited the .STL file so that the cap sits lower on the stick and is almost flush with the game boy shell. Less bending on the joystick and it looks better. Here it is:
file name is 0.4mm... typo... the layer height is actually 0.04mm

Perhaps you included the wrong file in the rar file but other than the file format, I don't see any difference from the original STL.AntFJ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:05 amhey folks. I've got a project file that you can upload right into cura, settings and all.

are you opening the file in Cura? looks different to me - layer view ---- layers 60-66 are different. The shaft goes into the cap body instead of resting on top of it.HoolyHoo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 6:36 amPerhaps you included the wrong file in the rar file but other than the file format, I don't see any difference from the original STL.AntFJ wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 9:05 amhey folks. Here is the .STL of the same design
Re: 3DS Cap that fits a PSP1000 - .STL
No, I don't use Cura but I see the difference now. As you said, the cavity is slightly deeper. I assumed a lower profile design by the description in the initial post, my bad. One thing I did notice is that the bottom of the part, opposite of the top where the thumb rest, seems to be at a slight angle. Would be better to make that flat. Might have been an issue when editing the original.
