Nope: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/ ... n-360.html

Install it, then when prompted say you're "A Startup or Enthusiast".

Basically you're allowed full use for non-commercial applications (Up to something like $100k USD). Free for 1 year, renew as long as you still meet the requirements.

I've been using Onshape for my modelling. It's free and completely browser based. It's also really easy to use/learn.

You will need a slicer if you're printing parts on your own FDM printer. If you're using a different technology (SLA/DLP, or CNC) you would need different software. If you're having someone else print your parts, you won't need a slicer at all - they'd do that for you.

As for recommendations, Slic3r and Cura would be the two major free options. Cura is produced by Ultimaker, but works with any printer; Slic3r is notable for its ties to Prusa. For paid options, Simplify3D seems to be the most popular choice among home users.

There isn't a significant performance difference between any of them, overall. All three are fine, so it's mostly down to personal preference.
