Spam Links in New User Posts?
I see a lot of seemingly legitimate posts by new users where there signature is nothing but a couple spam links. What's up with that?

Re: Spam Links in New User Posts?
We try our best to screen them when they come in. I would say that 95% of all the spam posts, the users never even see. The people that code the bots have gotten smarter and wait until after the post has been approved to edit all the spam links in. They also are more than likely logging in to inactive accounts and editing in spam links. Hell, they are even making legitimate posts that are on topic now which is mind boggling to me that they would even spend that much time and effort.
If you see them, please just report the post and we will take care of it.

Could be worse. I was a super mod on a Nissan 300ZX forum in the mid-late 2000s and they would get hit with raunchy things like goatse etc.
