PMs stuck in Outbox

For a while when sending PM's they hang in the Outbox for an inordinate amount of time before being sent (4-5 hours it seems). Now they don't appear to be sending at all. Any ideas?

If they are listed in the out box, it means that the receiver has not read it yet. It has been sent.
