Oops I forgot to check!
looks like it's going to have to stick out of the top and use the 'cap' but then the VMU kinda already does that (it has its connector ports at the top with a cap over like some USB sticks do), but should fit fine within that constraint. with a quick ruler measurement about 8mm spare.

Actually, of more concern is if the Pi will fit between the screw posts. They look to be 30mm apart but I think a little filing should fix that.

you can say you did it for SD card access ;) the card will stick out a tiny bit further too. I forgot that on my newest project

@abrugsch It looks to be really top! I spotted a visual memory not too expensive, and if you details as we mount ... I'll end up doing one too! :)

looks like a zero is 30mm wide, so its almost like it was made for the job!!

Yeah, I already knew that as I was trying to make sure my PCB for the Gameboy cart reader was within the same size as a Pi zero... which is why I specifically mentioned it ;) it's going to be a tight fit hence the filing that will be needed.

@abrugsch i get ya, i did re-read your message after my reply and think you could have been on about 30mm center to center for the posts.

Once you have done this one, i have found you even more of a challenge!!

That looks like it'll be super hard to find! I'd not really want to cannibalize one in that case...

Yeah, I can't even bring myself to take a working DMG-01 apart, never mind something that rare.

Always lusted after one back in the day. The local computer shop had one imported, but they were asking silly money

Ha I forgot about this part of the convo... but only a day or two after talking about this, one came up for sale in a japan retro group I'm in. wasn't silly money either! I didn't have it though so it's still safe ;)
