Visual Memory Unit - Dreamcast

Post by tikiandskull » Tue Jan 17, 2017 8:39 am

Hello, dragging on the web I stumbled on it, the virtual memory unit.

Image

Is there anyone here who has looked at a project on this small machine?

Must be able to insert a screen 2 "and a pi zero in. The buttons and the pcb must be able to be used ...

What do you think? Would that be technically possible?

well at any rate, it's probably possible... (I'm not 100% sure if a zero will fit in though but probably) as there's already a super tiny gameboy nano on thingiverse...

yes, I'm tempted to do one specifically for playing Pico-8 games as they are 128x128 :)

that screen looks like a perfect fit!! the only thing i would say may be of concern is the distance from the end of the screens actual visible 'display' area and the end of that pcb. But actually as i am typing this, i realize it is a 128x128 screen, so you could just rotate it 90 degrees

how does the 65mm length of a pi zero compare?
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919
