Robochris’ Gem

Post by Robochris » Fri Mar 15, 2019 2:29 pm

I was a little hesitant to build a gem just because of the screen being so small but it’s super sharp for its size.

I used soft tactile switches for L/R because I love the way they feel like an actual button on a controller. I designed and printed brackets and button caps for them.

The only imperfections that, aren’t bad but could’ve been better is the holes for the speaker and L/R aren’t quite symmetrical. But oh well.

750mAh battery.

Just a side note, if anyone is interested in the brackets and button caps I used, I’d be happy to share the stl files.

Yes please. Always nice having options. Gotta love 3d printers. Wish a vmu shell stl existed.

I’ll post them when I’m back to my Mac. Yeah, I looked for a vmu stl but found nothing. And I don’t think I can design something that elaborate and precise.
