GEM Blank screen

Well I started working on my GEM kit today and seem to be stuck getting the screen going. I went back over all the pins and they seem to go all the way through. I changed the file on the sd to run debug and the green light on the pi flashes like it is reading. Backlight comes on for the lcd. Is their a particular pin I should be checking for connection? Thanks for any assistance.

Do you have a multimeter you can use to check continuity with? I thought all my solder joints we're good but I couldn't get the screen to save my life. Turns out I had a bad screen reset joint.

Kite has the pinout on the FAQ, double check to make sure the pins and the breakout points match up. Also make sure you're using enough solder and you're maintaining heat for long enough, I was way too shy with both my first run through.

Thanks for the information. I will grab a multi meter on Monday and check everything.

Worked like a charm. After testing I had eight to redo. Only one was stubborn and required removing solder and starting again. Thanks for the advice.
