I received my Circuit Gem and am starting the process of ordering parts but I don't want to make multiple orders if I can avoid it, especially since some stuff is coming from China and that's a long ordeal. I have built a mintyPi and Circuit Sword before so I have some experience figuring this stuff out but I have always had the support of ample documentation.
Unless I've missed it, it feels like the Circuit Gem instructions/FAQ's are pretty barebones. I don't know what needs to be removed from the VMU unit. I don't know where to position the L-R buttons or how to wire them. And most importantly, it's unclear to me which components can/should be removed from the Pi Zero to support the larger battery. I've gleaned some of this information from people's showoff builds or questions Kite has replied to but it'd be nice to have them in one spot as a proper build guide. Is there any hope this is coming soon? Thank you.
Is better or more descriptive documentation forthcoming?

I am wondering this too.

Re: Is better or more descriptive documentation forthcoming?
The build is pretty simple, I cover the electronics side and after that it is as simple as "does it fit -> NO -> *cut [thing] until it fits* -> repeat". If there's anything that you're not clear on, make a thread and someone will answer.
With the Pi, again following the simple flow chart, just by looking at it you can see the tall components are the HDMI and USB ports, so those are what you should remove to satisfy the 'cut [thing] until it fits' bit

Also Wermy's latest MintyPi build guide has some good instructions on soldering the Pi to the board that can be applied to the Circuit Gem.
