Gem dpad moving on its own
Gem dpad moving on its own
My gems dpad scrolls up or down by itself from time to time, also it's a bit sensitive like when scrolling ROM lists it jumps left and right alot. Any ideas where to start to resolve these

Leaving in that little plastic thing inside the membrane helps a little, also clean the button pads on the PCB with alcohol. You could also check out the FAQ and add a little more solder to those solder holes (for the direction buttons)

Well it's dead now, don't use a soldering iron that you don't know, ended up going too hot with a fine tip and through the board tearing audio and a button trace attempted repairs but there was a short due to the trace tear frying the pi and board , Doh . Now I wait for next set of orders to open. I just want to say board was amazing and love your products kite, but accidents happen

Oh dear, that is rather unfortunate! Send me an email, I'll see if I have spares and get back to you
