What about 3d printers? Are we doing traditional 10 cents per gram of filament? Or is there a set cost?
But that is 100€/kg or spool :o
It's more like 20€/kg + some power cost.

For the budget, say we have to buy 10 of something but only need 1 of them, would that mean that we include the cost of the 1 we used or the cost of all 10?
e.g. I got 10 PCBs for $5, does that mean I add $5 to my costs or $0.50?
Sorry for the delayed response. Yeah I think that's fair, within reason. Like if a person bought every part for their project in bulk so the individual part cost was way low, I don't think that would be fair. But for the example you gave I think that's fine.

It is up - check out the blog post linked the original post. Or just go to sudomod.com and there are a couple posts on the front page about it. :)

Sorry, my library does 10 cents. They have a discount on filament b/c they're a library.

Update: Kite was kind enough to donate one of his Circuit Sword boards, so that will be included in the first place prize -- complete with a Compute Module 3 and a 4000mAh battery. :)
