I know this thread is looking a bit dead, but I thought I should mention there shouldn't be any need to cut traces or remove components from this supply. I originally though it would be necessary, mainly to mimic the PowerBoost's "off" state when the EN pin is pulled to ground, but honestly... this supply doesn't even light up unless there's a load connected to it.

So really, put the switch on the output of the supply and leave the rest of of the circuitry be. It should be just fine.

I know the PowerBoost only uses 20μA when off, but 180μA is almost nothing. Not even a fifth of a milliamp.

For anyone that's interested, I'm designing a safe shutdown circuit to work with this charger as well.

Nice Camble thanks for your input, I do keep an eye on this thread and it always seems to have someone viewing it, I won't be building my gameboy zero's until closer to the end of the year, A safe shutdown circuit would indeed be awesome :)

My first GBZ build -=HERE=- -> Became a gift to my little brother!
