We're almost there. :)

I started wiring up all the necessary wires, resistors, caps and the oscillator to the ATMega328P-PU chip:

And then glued it in place:

Here is how everything looks so far:

Things left to do:
  • Safe-shutdown switch with necessary resistors
  • Solder the cart reader and glue it in place
  • Calibrate my DIY battery monitor to get it ready (lab bench PSU + runtime)
  • Put on the gorilla glass
  • Some software adjustments
Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to inform you that I am currently moving very far away, and therefore I am very busy.

UPDATE: I am still alive! My ISP is setting up my internet on the 19th of January at my new place, explaining my offline-ness.

If you write me a PM, I will very likely take some time to respond.

Also, my 2nd build will soon go on, so if you've been following it, please stay tuned! :)

Many thanks for your understanding!

Battery monitor calibrated, safe shutdown implemented + working. Software options (cmdline.txt and config.txt) set up correctly. Display settings all set.

So fast I get jealous of people who have all the parts. I started weeks ago and I'm still waiting on parts. I will have to try your safe shutdown do you have a schematic?
