Ok, did a bit more reading and looking at the pictures provided in this thread.... and i am not that keen on using this HDMI screen....
reason: the aspect ratio is off, and if i want to fit it behind the normal screen protectors used for the BW like screens, it has a even lower resolution than the BW screens....

i would really love to have a crisper image, but i want to keep the "normal" look.....

up until now i have not found any affordable screens to get that result :( I am not willing to pay up to 100 dollars for a screen :P

looks like the 2nd build will also be with the BW like screen.... :|

Looking at this post:
http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 910#p31774

it seems to be possible to get a really clear and crisp image using the hdmi screen... AND getting it in to the size of the bw screens (so i can use the same screenprotector).

i think using this screen will even eliminate the use of an usb dac audio card?? (if i use the jack plug of the screen, still need an amp for the speaker i think)

Ok, so i have gathered some more parts:
- Pi0 (non W, they are expensive!!)
- audio amp
- teensy LC

also ordered a USB DAC, but if i am going to use the HDMI screen, i won't be using that :)

So what do i need:
- screen (still thinking about what screen to use, almost sure i am goinig with the HDMI one)
- screen protector (already sent @Dominator a PM for one :) )
- lipo

all the other stuff is waiting on my bench :P

Hey Bert. Happy that I might be inspring you to go HDMI, however it is not without difficulties. Mostly in the connection between the Pi and the screen. It's bulky and off the shelf cabling is tough to route. To get a cable that will work best, it might be needed to buy a male HDMI breakout plug and a male mini HDMI plug, then wire your own cable. I feel as though If I would have gone with a BW screen, I'd be done already... lol.

Hi Mark,
that was exactly what i was planning to do :) make my own cable with 2 connectors :D
I know it will be a bit more of a challenge to build this 2nd build, but that what's fun :D
Thanks!

Ok, so i have still not ordered a Lipo and a screen (and connectors if i need them).

Also ordered a USB hub (forgot that one).

i think i'll be going for the HDMI screen, but first i want to rewire my BW screen to see if that gives me a good enough picture :) )

already have the 3d printed parts, but if i go with the HDMI screen i'll have to redraw and reprint the screen bracket ;)

in the meanwhile i received a screen protector (thanks to @Dominator)

After i have rewired the BW screen in my first build, i'll decide on the screen and order that.
Lipo, ill order the same as my first build (the custom lipo on the forum will take to long i'm affraid, missed the pre-order)

BW screens use composite which is blurry by default because of the video all crammed into one line as opposed to the digital crispness of HDMI. There is no comparison really from muddy analog to digital crispness of HDMI.
