How to adjust LCD brightness? Also some flickering issues

I bought a 3.5" lcd on aliexpress that does not come with a brightness controll. Is there any mod to adjust the brightness?. The one i bought is http://s.aliexpress.com/fmYBVjiA. although its different from the actual item i received. There's also a little flickering issue on the screen for some colors. Is this normal? I have tested the lcd screen on both 12v 2A and 5v 2.5A power supply on an old Raspberry Pi 1 Model B 512MB. Im still waiting for the raspberry pi zero and rpi3 i ordered.

It works on both 12v and 5v out of the box.

I have the same screen. And the same problems. I still dith the mod and i use composit cable and i dont have the problem anny more. And i dont now how to do the controles. Because its not there.

What do you mean by "dith the mod"? What mod?
