Fear not I saved my Gorilla glass screen from Day for my SAIO build 😎
Ooooh nice! Wish to get my hands on those as well sometime. I have two other ongoing builds (all gifts :D ). Better screen surround and better back buttons are the two things I need to improve!

Very nice color combinations on those two builds! 🙂

Where did you buy the screen cover on your 2nd build? I think it would fit perfect on my next build the ones on kitshbent have too thin borders.

Thank you!
I bought these at Deadpan Robot in the UK. Be careful what you ask for, the border is quite thick. I think it would better fit a "traditional" GBZ build where the screen comes from a BW screen for instance and you can then nicely hide the metal surround with it. With a Kite build, a thin border would be better. What I experienced is that some menus at the bottom are a bit hidden (vanilla retropie menu, some heavy text games, and the bottom lines of the terminal.

Good luck!

Edit: I checked for a link to give you, but it turns out I can't find it on their website anymore. I remembered it being out of stock a while back...

I actually need atleast 2.5mm border for the top and bottom. This is for a KeDei 3.5" HDMI screen. It's wider than the BW screen i have and shorter width. The usual kitschbent screen has 1mm ithink.

Nice GBZ's! But isn't the battery cover loose without the top connection?
Inventive placement for the microSD card btw.

Xtra point for being a fellow dutchman.

Thanks! And yes the battery cover is loose, I just followed Kite's guide! He would suggest using magnets to close the case but I used a bit of Velcro to keep it in place, just a small square. It doesn't need much as it is already quite tightly packed with Dextech's battery.
