i think this build has come out really nice!!!!

one small question though :P
If you wire the powerboost and lipo and safeshutdown this way, i think you have to unplug the battery after playing/charging? Otherwise it will drain (because it keeps powering the powerboost)?
My first GBZ build -=HERE=- -> Became a gift to my little brother!
My 2nd GBZ build -=WIP HERE=- -> going with HDMI!

Yes but only a small amount of current.

https://www.adafruit.com/product/2465
..and low quiescent current: 5mA when enabled and power LED is on, 20uA when disabled (power and low batt LED are off)

these questions should be raised in camble safe shutdown post, not here (if you think theres an issue thats the place)...

That's one awesome build. I think it will inspire many of us, just like it did me.
It doesn't look like you went through with using two speakers for stereo sound?

thanks...

the two speakers, will work but i couldnt get the sound crystal (even when adding resistors, which did also reduce the volume level)

i'm going to be selling this build, and i couldnt just leave it as it was (not good enough if selling, i wouldnt buy anything with issues)
as it is now here is no humming or buzzing and the volume level is good (i've added a 51ohm resistor, without it the volume was too high)
