Excellent work! I printed up your v3 and meant to give you a suggestion that you hinted at on your last post. Try to make the tactile switch as close to the dmg case as possible to cut down on thickness. I think for the bracket to be successful it should only be as thick as the switch.

I apologize that I didn't get a chance to mention this earlier, I got lost in the holidays.
Its all good. In interesting idea of thinning out the bracket. I will play around with that in blender.

I really like your idea. any chance of getting the soft tactile witches to work with this install?
Not that famiilar with those. Could you post a link with more info?

Honestly, I haven't researched them much myself. The only info I have is what I've read on this post https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 787#p51803

Great work!
Looking forward to see the development of this.

One suggestion for a different variant:
As most of the people are not big fans of the tactile buttons maybe you could think about a solution like I did with a complete printed case.
The PCB could be screwed on the back of you bracket, it will be very tight though. Not sure if even two buttons can fit in that area with this design.

I could not test mine yet, because I have some problems with the PCB board it took out from another NES Controller.
Any Idea where to get custom made PCBs in small quantity?
I saw the Single Button PCB from Kitsch Bend but I cant get it here.

Oshpark. You can upload your board files and order small quantities for cheap. They ship worldwide.

Yeah, I think you only need enough material in the bracket to support the button and give a surface to add some glue.

THX for the info.
The only thing is I have no idea about this stuff and how to design it...so I would need a exiting one to modify it.

Its been a long time since I ever did any pcb designs, any I did was done by hand. I never did a PCB digitally. If anyone wants to make a pcb go ahead, just let me know. I design this with multiple variations of tact switches in mind, if you include a pcb you are limiting options for parts.

I have been a bit distracted with other stuff within the last couple of weeks. So tonight I decided to try to make a few adjustments and get a print going. After my last print I decided to to focus my efforts on getting the main part to fit in first then make holes for the tact switches. So what I did was pulled out the pieces from my last prints and made adjustments. On my V4 prints I broke off and marked problematic parts.

My next task were to make the right adjustments in blender, print, and test.

After making adjustments I have not been able to get a good print going, it seems like nothing is sticking to the bed. So I am basicly I am at a stand still until my new print surface arrives.

so here is v5 of my thing. They are just the blanks for now.

Thx for the update.

Im going into the same direction with a fully printed shell.
I will share some infos to you later on when i received my prints for your input.
For my 2nd build I would go the same way you are working on right now.
