Update:

Received new and proper battery from Helder, it looks so nice I hate covering it!
The graphics sticker is upside-down due to the fact that the JST cable comes out from the bottom left side of the sticker.

Help!!! I need an adult!!

So as I was playing today the screen (GearBest) simply shut itself off, I don’t know what caused it and even less where to start. I might desolder it from the Pi and try the GBz on a PC monitor just in case.

Any suggestions??

I started "proding" around with my fat fingers and the Adafruit powerboost is showing only 3.xxV at Output and it should be 5.xxV, battery is reading 4.2V.
powerboost is dead?

As it turns out the monitor board is toasted, started to smoke, unsightly smoke...? Looking for a replacement screen, but don't know if I should get the same one or look into other options. thought about going HDMI, but it is too costly to justify for now.

Anyone that reads this has any suggestions?

I don't care much for the BW screen, as there are too many variations.
and would really prefer a screen with good resolution.

Received yesterday my replacement screen but it came with a bad ribbon cable. It also seems like a different screen from the first one I received. Although the logic board was the same.

You can see near the bottom of the screen some divots in the traces, the break goes all the way through severing a few traces.
