CS Lite: Shuts down, kernel panic
Re: CS Lite: Shuts down, kernel panic
No still shutting itself down unfortunately. SD cards I've tried are Sandisk Ultra and Toshiba Exceria ones, both 32GB. I'm still waiting for a battery to arrive on a slow boat from China.

The soldering around those connections, could you get an in focus macro shot? Ideally using some kind of light to really highlight the scratches

I've tried the best I can to take a picture with the tools I've got.

No I agree with you there! With the naked eye it didn't look that bad!
Hope it can be salvaged, i'll be a bit upset if I've ruined it.

Re: CS Lite: Shuts down, kernel panic
Hi, ok, so it looks like the pin with the trace is damaged.. here are some pics of the pins how they are meant to look:
NOTE: This is MIRRORED so everything is backwards! Could you please measure with a multimeter in resistance mode the resistance between A and B (B is GND by the way)
IF there is a direct short (as in it reads 0ohm or close enough) then you need to fix up this bit OR cut that trace:
Test for a short again... now IF there is no short, you can continue!
You need to solder a wire from Pin "A" (which is the one badly soldered in your picture) to this point 'E' on the other side of the board:
You can verify that everything is working as expected by making sure that:
a) there is NO short from A to B
b) there IS a short from A to E (this is MEANT to be connected)

Re: CS Lite: Shuts down, kernel panic
Thanks Kite so much. This has worked a treat! I'm so happy, I really thought I'd ruined it. Starts up perfectly now and safe shutdown runs when I turn the power switch off. In tester mode everything is good. Looking forward to being able to continue the build. Really appreciate the help.
