Dutch MintyPi tins

Post by MintyJam » Sun Dec 09, 2018 8:40 am

Hallo Nederlanders!
Hello to all of the Dutch users of this forum!

I know it's hard to find a good tin for the MintyPi in Europe... :(
Of course, you could go to the USA, or buy tins from Amazon, but there is a new solution!
At the Wibra, a Dutch budget store, you can now buy Altoids sized tins in amazing designs! It includes the designs of a smartphone, a calculator, a digital camera, a television, a casette tape, and a radio! And the best part, it costs less than a euro! :D

The tv isn't includes in the image above, so I did some research and found a similar looking tin, only the dimensions are different. (The actual tin isn't, only the picture)

I Like the tv design the most, especially because it's hiding something like a MintyPi inside. :)

For other Europeans:

Sorry for other European users, I can't really help you guys... :? Although, if you copy the first image and use Google Images, you can get to a German site where they have it too, called Karton 24: https://www.box24.de/karton/default.asp ... ch=18-1282 However, these are a bit more expensive (€2,49).

Just for info, in Germany you can buy original Altoids at Rossmann. Not sure if they are located in the Netherlands too.

Rossmann isn't located in the Netherlands, and I have done some research, the only shop here where you can buy "native candy", candy from other countries, is the Jamin... Looked in several of these shops, and they didn't have it... However, Rossmann IS pretty close to the border of the Netherlands, and I live in Oss, which also isn't that far away from the border... So that could be another solution for me. :D Thank you very much!

The nicest ones together (imho)

The size is almost identical, the custom tins are slightly (really not that much) larger.
So should be no problem housing Wermy/Helder stuff ;)

On special request from MintyJam, here you go

You can see its only a slight, and not problematic difference.
The extra height should making closing the tin even easier (on the v2 in a altoids tin it's a tight fit).

Closed.

Hello guys!
I am new at the sudomod community, but I really like what's going on here.
I just found these pretty cool retro style tin boxes which should have the same size as an Altoids tin.

You can buy them on the German eBay store, but unfortunately they only ship here to Germany.
