Re: [ PRE ORDER ] Gameboy Zero PocketPi FE
I get the frustrations jackya, in your shoes I would totally feel the same. The initial timeline was ambitious even if everything gone to plan. I did think so at the time and should have pushed that date back. Back then if I could have said they would have been delated to Feb/March, I would have. The problem is it's been a series of delays at different points which has pushed us back to this date, rather than something happening at the beginning.
Tier 1 was about 50 kits of which we've shipped 25, GG will also be sending kits out this week. The second two tiers were much bigger so we placed a factory order for those and we're awaiting that now. In the meantime I believe GG has been cutting shells for these two tiers.
I should mention I've been getting some PMs about general orders regarding Galaxy Gaming so it's probably best to clarify. I have partnered with the GG for the Pocket FE. I designed the boards and software and they did the brackets and addition of wireless charging and designing the brackets inside it. I don't run the general site and I don't ship the FEs (as I've had a few ask me to expedite their orders or photos of the boards and kits) so I won't be able to help there. I will definitely pass along messages, no problem, but I won't be able to answer where your general GG order is e.g. for back button boards etc.
I know initially there was a lack of communication but I've really tried to step up there and keep everything updated here and respond to questions so I hope that lack of information isn't too bad anymore.

They are all marked on the board. The only one that isn't is the LED resistor value but that's mainly because it can be a custom number depending on brightness desired. Typically that's 1.5kJoeblowv1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 6:24 amThanks Konnor, I just wanted to doublecheck. If its intuitive enough I'll figure it out, again, I don't have a board juuust yet, and thats the only part that seems the slightest bit complicated to meKonnorJ wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 12:45 amThere's names and values written on a table on the PCB that tells you which value goes where.Joeblowv1 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 10, 2019 5:15 pmsorry to be a bear, but other then the resistances on the board, is there any sort of guide for like which SMD Capacitors go where?
I know Wermy had some info, I think the only bit that has me raising an eyebrow is like is there some sort of direction like C1 = part# ERJ-6DQJ3R0V etc. etc.?
I don't have a board to look over just quite yet and I'm just preemptively wondering what goes where?
Thanks again guys for all the hard work

In addition to this, any general order questions or order statuses should be directed straight to Rich or myself, we should have a more efficient system for support up and running soon.Bluup wrote: ↑Mon Feb 11, 2019 10:03 amI get the frustrations jackya, in your shoes I would totally feel the same. Re: [ PRE ORDER ] Gameboy Zero PocketPi FE
It is indeed more work to add a JST connector. The main reason I want to use a JST connector is, that I want a PocketPi FE, which still works in 30 years. And every battery has a certain lifespan. So it might be for now more work. But it's less work, when the battery dies and you just have to replace. Then you'll have more work to unsolder it.
That said. There are a ton of different JST connectors. Can you recommend one?

Re: [ PRE ORDER ] Gameboy Zero PocketPi FE
Finally I have my hard earned money back. I must say, this is a very unprofessional salesman who has no idea about the business and also his accomplices and wanna be support team. I will never order anything from galaxy gaming again. since january he has ignored my mails, not even on paypal he answered me. Very dubious this businessman.
Here is the answer from paypal:
Hello,
Since we did not receive any further information about this conflict from Galaxy Gaming, the case was decided in your favor. You will receive a refund of GBP 93.00. If you have paid by credit card, the amount will be credited to your credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the repayment to be reflected in your credit card statement.
Name of the seller: Galaxy Gaming
E-mail address of the seller: paypal@galaxygaming.co.uk
Transaction date: 3 September 2018
Transaction amount: 93.00 GBP
many Greetings

I have ordered from several users over the years here in the community, parts, cases, Mintypis, GBZ parts,3D Prints and various things and again supported the community. But what I've lived here, I'm very disappointed and has destroyed the belief in this community, there is always a person who wants to rip you off in a way.
One reason why I no longer support the MintyPi v3 is that I can only get the Battery via Galaxy Gamining in Europe.
@Helder, I would, if I were you, to reconsider your business relations for Europe.

@galaxygaming / rich
Bluub said on Monday more Tier one would be shipped this week.
So, I asume they didn't, or not all kits have bein n shipped from this first oder round.
At least not mine and obiously Karns -.-
Oh man, constantly I think, cool now it's comming, but one week after another goes by.
Be sure I'm used to wait, just last week I received a Kickstarter that was meant to be delivered im February 2017.
I don't know why, but only here I feel like on a rollercoaster, it goes up and down the whole time.
Can't count anymore how often posts from here or instagram made me think, "Yes! Now it's comming."
So, how many Kits from Tier one are open / not shipped yet? On Monday it was 25 Kits from 50.
Are they going out soon, or do you need something for them at first? Another Router bit as mentioned on instagram?
Don't get me wrong I'd rather wait longer and get clean and well done stuff, instead of something made in a rush because people are pissed about waiting.
But I now feel again like I don't know what's going on and if the Rest of the Tier one Kits go out soon or together with Tier 2 and 3. And if this is in a week or two or a month or two.
