Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
For the price its well worth it seeing as most other pcb makers for pi projects charge well over 50$ for just a bare pcb still have to buy everything else its kinda funny
Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case

(i predict around the £50-60, give or take a tenner)
I'll most probably get one ....
the screen looks like its something like this (without the board, which they've integrated in to theirs).....
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-8-TFT-LCD- ... SwRYNb2PtS
its definitely not an SPI display (but could be wrong)
what is interesting is how they are implementing the power and shutdown (this could be used in other build/projects)....
you'll know once someone gets a chance to have a better look at it
its definitely worth getting.....
(especially at that price point)
.
Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
You pretty much nailed it.
In his previous video ETA said he thinks it's an IPS, but he said too it's not mentioned anywhere.
We have to see.

It might well be a IPS display....
But the displayed I linked is also pretty decent...
Here it is in action (posted by ABH)

It looks (this is with NOOB eyes) to be the same display, just minus the touch digitiser....
(But It could be another display)

Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
They look great for people looking to get a simple build to just play some ROMs, I think the custom builds on here are triumphant still but china cant be beat in price, people looking to just play some games these look like a great option.

Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
I've found out more info for anyone interested. The screen is an 320x240 IPS display, it's also DPI.
Re: Upcoming Retroflag GBZ Case
Just got mine, was up and running in about 15min using Recalbox 6,1 beta 3 for GPI Case, including downloading and flashing the image.
As known, a little smaller then the original DMG Shell.
With 3 IKEA Ladda Batteries it´s heavy, it´s kinda bulky - I love it.
Btw. it´s awesome how fast Racalbox on the GPI boots. That´s something I hate about Retropie, it boots so slow on the Pi0.
My Pocket PI FE should hopefully be back from Bluups repair soon. If the Audio finaly works on this, I´m really happy about both.
