Checked everything, no shorts, 5v is up and has continuity with the chips it's supposed to. All solders check out, and the battery has voltage. Still no audio, but the jack and speaker have continuity. So i'm guessing it's some problem with the 5v, but everything described checks out.
Actually, while I'm making a post here, the wifi file isn't working for me, I've entered my internet info multiple times but the file deletes it's self and never connects. Oh, and I had to copy and paste because the one that came with the original v3 install looked corrupted/encrypted and un-editable.
Any ideas for either of these?

what did you try to open the WPA supplicant file with? try with notepad ++. And also post what you have placed in the one you are using, maybe you have something entered incorrectly. I also assume you are using a pi zero w, since a normal pi zero does not have wifi.
As far as sound goes....got any pictures of your soldering? Tried another speaker to rule out the current one? If you say all is well continuity wise...not much else could be the problem. You could try re burning the image to the sd card too, to insure there were no issues on that end.

It was my first time soldering, so I did a pretty shoddy job, but everything seems to work out with the multimeter, even if it doesn't look very pretty.rodocop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 3:30 pmwhat did you try to open the WPA supplicant file with? try with notepad ++. Every once in a while i get a small pop from the speaker or headphones.
I'm using a Raspberry Pi Zero W v1.1
I Also started getting some errors at random intervals, I'll send pics of that. :/
Used Notepad++, notepad, and WordPad. Don't have the original file, but I replaced it with my own.
As for what I entered: (With my wifi credentials)
country=US
ctrl_interface=DIR=/var/run/wpa_supplicant GROUP=netdev
update_config=1
network={
ssid="MYWIFI"
psk="mywifipassword"
key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
}

Another update:
Not sure how, but audio is completely fixed now
It still doesn't work for menus, but in game it works flawlessly

Re: V3 Audio + Battery not working after following other guides
There isn't any audio for the menus unless you change the theme. Some themes have the little click when you are scrolling lists and some don't. If I'm not mistaken the default theme from the V3 image does not have any audio in menus.
