New Build - GBZ
Re: New Build - GBZ
Nice build mate I’m getting close to finishing mine. I too am struggling with the safe shutdown and battery monitoring pcb’s from galaxy gaming. Any chance you could explain/show how you wired it in for me please?

Re: New Build - GBZ
Well after almost 2 years... it's finished!
I call it my ghetto build. Had to use a Powerboost 1000c as the original chinese cheapo board couldn't provide enough power. Also the screen controller board also stopped working and had to be replaced.
Key features:
Black case, black/ red buttons
Uses a Pi Zero W
MicroSD is accessible from the gameboy cart at the top.
Four buttons plus L&R back buttons
Basic button board
Auto shutdown and emergency reset
Speaker and headphone jack with volume control
USB A port
1300mah lipo (I had a few knocking around)
Plus another GBZ using Helder's AIO board. Only have to program the chip for the PSP 1000 thumb stick, otherwise this one is finished too. Oh and remove the temporary film from the screen.

So there you have it; two GBZs built in different ways.
