I bought a cheapy hub that had the black goo chip on it, didn't work with my wired keyboard.
I bought the Amazon Basics USB 2.0 hub and it works great! Tested with teensy, raspberry pi zero, and my wired keyboard. Add to wiki please.
The downside is that it is a bit large but should be able to fit inside the gameboy... Use all in one Helder board for best results.
Is there a USB hub alternative??
