Also will there be a limit on how many kits one could buy?Apis wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 10:49 amConsider converting your retropie image to read only, or switching to Recalbox which it's OS is read-only by default. Read-only helps to prevent SD card corruption, basically prevents it.drafterITA wrote: ↑Sun May 21, 2017 12:15 pmJust to create a backup image of the card, corruption issues are frequent, at least for me![]()
Hey Wermy, when your MintyPi2 is ready, will it be available as a kit like Kite did, or more like your other projects where you suggest parts from certain manufactures?
Thanks. Your work is amazing!![]()

Questions like that make me envision a glut of these appearing on eBay with RetroPie and ROMs preinstalled.

Yep. Happened with the GBZ, too - not a lot you can do about it. :\obsidianspider wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 11:06 amQuestions like that make me envision a glut of these appearing on eBay with RetroPie and ROMs preinstalled.![]()
Thanks.

This is yet another thing on my to-do list.

I'm also looking to build one for me and another as a gift, but with a number of questions coming in about how cheap things will be, I'm sure someone (more than one I'm sure) is looking to cash in. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were doing that.Orangebuster wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 12:04 pmWell, I was looking to buy two one for myself and one to build for my brother,I wasn't looking to mass produce and over charge.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 11:06 amQuestions like that make me envision a glut of these appearing on eBay with RetroPie and ROMs preinstalled.![]()

Yeah, that would be great.wermy wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 11:46 amThanks.I will have some starter-kit type things available. It won't include everything, it'll be more geared towards the shell/buttons. I'm still trying to nail down what exactly I'll be able to provide (the distributer that told me they have a bunch of white buttons available just let me know they actually don't, for example). I'll hopefully get all this squared away soon.

Re: mintyPi 2.0 News & Updates
If there is a max limit I hope it is at least two. It seems most people here want to build one for themselves and one for a family member or friend. Myself included in that list. It drives me crazy when there is a 1 unit max. Most people who want multiples only want 2 anyway.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 12:36 pmI'm also looking to build one for me and another as a gift, but with a number of questions coming in about how cheap things will be, I'm sure someone (more than one I'm sure) is looking to cash in. +1 on that. I'm really hoping to build one for my wife and one for myself.
Really looking forward to these boards! Keep up the good work.

Totally agree. Looking for 2 sets as well here.Sirlias wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 1:05 pmIf there is a max limit I hope it is at least two. Re: mintyPi 2.0 News & Updates
I wasn't planning on having any kind of limit, but honestly I haven't really thought about it. If there is a ton of demand for it and one person wants to buy half of the available boards, that obviously doesn't sound fair. I guess we'll just have to play it by ear.
