Easy Wi-Fi/BT Solution?

Post by Bigtimbers » Wed Sep 07, 2016 5:37 pm

**Sorry guys you can disregard my question as i noticed after more study that there are no GPIO conflicts.**

But check out the board as it is a cheap solution and won't use up your micro usb slot!

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of collecting parts for my GBZ build and I found this:

https://redbear.cc/product/iot-phat-48.html

I was thinking of using it instead of using a dongle, buuuut since i'm not an electrical engineer in the least :| I am worried that some of the GPIO connectors may overlap and I have no clue if that would be an issue.

Can I put two wires in one GPIO slot on the Raspi Zero or is there a better way to go about this?

Also they have a sweet tiny controller that is dirt cheap but should be good quality:

Thanks in advance!

Why do you need Bluetooth and Wi-Fi always on?

Kite said in his build thread that he found a tiny wifi module that could be toggled on/off with a pin(ie, connected to a switch). Never shared the details of where/model#, etc.
