We've recently had the pleasure of soldering 3 Pi Zeroes to 3 wonderfully made Kite SAIO boards, and until now, we've had no problems. The Pis have been completely and successfully soldered to the SAIO boards, the screens tested, SD tester image booted up, back boards assembled and tested, USB tested and pretty much everything working as it should.
However, after connecting and testing a mini mono speaker with each of the boards, we've found a problem with one of the boards. Here are the issues:
- Low volume, even when volume pot is turned to max
- Persistent hissing sound, increases with volume
- Erratic volume slope, ie the volume jumps up suddenly instead of increasing gradually as it does with the other 2 boards
- Problem persists when using headphones
We've tested the offending board with alternate speakers, cables and back boards and as far as we can tell, nothing is wrong with them. It does indeed appear to be an issue with the main board.
If anyone could offer any advice, it'd be much appreciated! Thanks

Re: Sound problem with Kite board - Please help!
Hey, welcome to the community!
Kite has a support thread: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 240#p36240
I would use the search feature on the support thread to see if anyone else has reported a similar issue. If not, you can always reach out. Having a centralised repository for support issues drastically reduces forum clutter and helps people find answers for issues much faster.
Thanks!
