Hi everyone,
having unsuccessfully tried to mod an Amazon screen (though the last word has to be written yet: https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php ... 5d4c2cd23c), I bought a XIANJIE 5v-ready screen from Alibaba, which is going to be delivered at my home next thursday. Happened that meanwhile I got from a friend another to-be-modded screen. Assuming that I will be able to mod it, the question is if it is better the XIANJIE screen or the modded one.
I remember reading somewhere that the XIANJIE is best, but I'm asking to be sure. Can someone explain me the pros and the cons of the two options?
XIANJIE or modded screen?

Re: XIANJIE or modded screen?
I've used the XIANJIE screen once, it was good, not really much quality difference than the other composite screen's ive used. It does have a huge control board though, but it is manageable.
I'd say use the one that needs no modding first, and if you can get the other working, then it's a perfect excuse to make another gameboy!
I've lately been using the gearbest screens listed in the wiki ('newer' version), and they always work great.

Re: XIANJIE or modded screen?
Thanks Rodocop, and great advice! I already started to ask in the forum for modding the unknown screen's board, hope that someone will find a solution so I'll surely start working on my second build, one day
Meanwhile: DHL texted me to say that the Xianjie screen will be delivered at my home on monday.. I can't wait! But I'm thinking about the correct wiring to test it, as it comes with two connectors (one for the video input, one for the power) that do not match/connect with anything I have in my house. Is this wiring correct (sorry for the quality..)?
Also: from the pics Xianjie sent me it seems that they will send the screen with the board not already attached to the back of the screen: a little strip of double-sided foam (for general purpose) will be enough to keep it in place?
Many, many thanks (and compliments, too: just saw your builds

Re: XIANJIE or modded screen?
Pretty sure your wiring looks good.
As for attaching the board to the screen. Some double sided tape or hot glue will work fine.
