BW screen problems and better alternative?

i bought a bw screen from amazon and got variant 8 i believe, i modified it and it works fine. my issue is that ive noticed an almost shimmering effect that isnt pleasing to the eye and makes small sprites and text almost jitter, i have also dropped the screen and given it a line of dead pixels so i now have the "opportunity" to get a screen with better visual performance, anyone have any reccomendations for somewhere to find either a version with a better driver board that is either more friendly with the 5v conversion or something and id like to not have to spend 50$ on adafruit's

Just get the gearbest screen...

No need to 5v mod
And looks good (well as good as your gonna get on these types of screens)

I got this one recommended by VeteranGamer, he told me that it doesnt need any modification, I did not buy it yet.

that the screen, and it shouldnt need an modification
(it doesnt have a screen adjustment board, but really thats not needed....)

also the price seems a little high right now (not by much, only a few $)
if you keep an eye on it, they normally have it lower than that....
