hdmi audio

I understand many have been able to exclude an amp if they were going the USB audio route. Would this work the same for hdmi audio?
Trying to save as much space as i can

Depending on your HDMI output device. In my case the Kedei screen puts enought analog output signal on its internal headphone jacknto run a speaker. Not really noisy but enough to listen.
