Hi!
My composite 3.5 inch screen worked well before I downloaded a ROM to my GBZ. Then, my screen started not to work. It is just black.
I also tried to re-install RetroPie; however, the result is the same.
Note: Before doing that, I rebooted RPi several times. Is there any relation between these?
My setup for the screen:

Re: Screen not working after installing a ROM
well, a few things- sounds like maybe your card could have gone bad, if you shut it off while it was being accessed too many times. that can corrupt its file system.
second, those connections aren't quite right. you've connected one of the inputs (the yellow wire) to a ground on the pi. disconnect that, or run that to the ground at display card.
finally, those connections just may not be stable enough with those pin connectors. composite can be pretty flaky sometimes, so make sure you have solid connections (check with a multi-meter if you can).
