[Guide] Audio-/Headphone Jack Information Thread
Re: [Guide] Audio-/Headphone Jack Information Thread
Has anyone used to pj-325 headphone jack without using an AIO board? I'm trying to figure out how to wire it up correctly.
I don't have an AIO so I tried to follow wermy's Custom parts guide. I have the left and right output going to the adafruit audio amplifier and I added 10ohm resistors to the L/R inputs which are going to the speaker. Does this sound right at all?
Sorry if this is completely wrong, first time doing anything like this.

I'm getting no sound to my speaker. When I go through menus in emulation station I should hear something right?
Here's how I have it wired. I also swapped the wires on the speaker.
Using original Gameboy speaker. Using volume wheel too. Am I missing something or not wired right?

Try removing the resistors and keep the ferrite beads. Try wiring it like http://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1209 but use the correct pins associated with whichever jack your using.tlxxxsracer wrote:I'm getting no sound to my speaker. This has 5 pins, so it should be stereo. But you can check with a multimeter.

Hello,
Do you think it is possible to turn the jack output of some speakers ( eg : https://www.logitech.fr/fr-fr/product/m ... 50?crid=47 ) into TWO jack output (both with potentiometers to change their volume) AND conserving the "insert switch" mechanism ? So that by default the sound comes out of the speakers but as soon as at least one of the jack is connected to some headphones it turns off the speakers. I can't figure out how to wire that :/

Yes, just use one as usual and feed 2 additional wires to the other one, without the switch pin.Aramir wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2017 2:23 pmHello,

But keep in mind that the volume is halved, if you do so.

Hi all,
Just leaving a correction for the original game boy headphone jack. The only points that have continuity are Pin 3 and 4.
The + output from the amp or from the volume pot should go Pin 2,3 and 5. When Headphones are plugged in connection between Pin 3 and 4 breaks and only headphones get sound.
