I used this little board to make a usb connector for the main connector on the right and it corresponds to the pinout on the board.tronicgr wrote:I soldered all the parts, except C1 for now,but I can't get the USB hub to work. It shows as unknown device when connected to PC. The chip came from a known working pcb. Is it possible D+ D- issue? I soldered directly a male usb connector for testing.

The atmega chip itself works, I get ID from the programmer, but not the hub...
Any ideas?

Whenever I had issues with the USB in my testing of boards I always check and resolder the resonator for the chip. I also sometimes mve the chip so it's dead center in the pins as it sometimes moves with the hot air, after that the hub works all the time so follow those steps and be sure that the wiring of the USB connector is correct.
I made that connector board for this purpose as regular usb connectors are not pin for pin accurate.
