Resistor/Capacitor Help for Electrical Newbie

Post by slicknick654 » Tue Aug 09, 2016 7:37 am

Hey guys!

Software engineer here, I've never dabbled in the electrical/hardware engineering side of things and this GameBoy Zero project is just the thing to get me into it. I've been combing through the wiki and placing online orders, the only thing i seem to be stuck on are making sure i have the correct resistors/capacitors. 150/270 seem to be hard to come by? Is there a resistor/capacitor "kit" which would have an assortment of everything i need since im new to the hobby? Any and all suggestions are appreciated! Cheers! :D

Needed (taken from the wiki)
150 Ohm resistor, 270 Ohm resistor, 10nF capacitor, and a 33nF capacitor (another 10nF will work fine as well if that’s easier to find)

Play around with this calculator and you'll see that the values are not set in stone. You're looking to have a cut-off frequency of around 18KHz.
