Hey guys I need some help deciding on a battery. After the galaxy note 7's exploding I'm a little more cautious on what battery I will get.
I found these two from adafruit:
Li-Ion battery pack 3.7v 4400mAH
https://www.adafruit.com/products/354
Li-Ion Poly 3.7v 2500mAH
https://www.adafruit.com/products/328
I like the first one because it would be harder to puncture and for that reason safer, but I want to ask other people what their opinions are.

Re: Battery Help
I'm getting Helder's AIO 2.0 board and I am not putting the cartridge in. So that should save on some space, also I plan on putting a jst connecter cable from the power boost to the battery for a quick disconnect. The Li-Ion battery pack looks like it would fit perfect in the DMG battery compartment (with some tweaks). As far as battery capacity goes as long as it is above 2500mAH it should be fine.Chedda wrote:Depends on the room you want to use inside and how much capacity (mAh) you are going for.
I guess what I asking, was if anyone had experience with one of these Li-Ion battery packs as opposed to the regular Li-Po batteries.

Ok thanks, I think i'll go with the 4400mAH one.Chedda wrote:I have a 4500mah in the battery compartment and that lasts 4.5 hours on a full charge.

Re: Battery Help
To not start another battery discussion, I'm using this thread to post my questions.
After reading through a couple of threads, I found that since I stopped reading through everything in the forum a couple of months ago, the AA sized 14500 Li Ion batteries became somewhat interesting, as the battery compartment needs zero to minimal physical damage.
Edit: the battery I found Link is actually a Lithium-Thionyl-Chlorid battery. These are NOT rechargeable!!!
So it seemed nice, but I have to continue searching
