Back order jawns sent straight away?Camble wrote:Just wanted to let everyone know that I've completed the v1.2 board design and am waiting on a prototype arriving (this will probably take a couple of weeks).
I'm fairly confident this will resolve the power-off issues when charging. As soon as I've tested the prototype, I'll be getting another batch in. No pre-orders this time round, I'll start a thread once I have the boards in my hand.

@camble
I've been trying for a while now and I can't seem to get my safe shutdown to work. When I run the python ~/GBZ-Power-Monitor_PB/gbz_power_monitor.py, it does nothing. I downloaded the monitor and video assets like instructed. Also, when I try to initiate a shutdown, I get a kernel panic that interrupts the shutdown. I am fairly certain that I have the wiring correct, based on the guides. Have you run into this problem before? If not, I can post some pictures. Thanks!

@Spruc3Moose When you run the python script manually, you won't see any output. It should shutdown when you flip the switch though. Please double-check you have everything wired up correctly. Post pictures of your wiring if you can, and I'll take a look.

Ok, so when I run the python script in the terminal, nothing happens as far as output and I should just flip the switch to off and it should start a safe shutdown. I tried doing that and it just shutdown immediately. Here are some pictures of my wiring.Camble wrote:@Spruc3Moose When you run the python script manually, you won't see any output. Your wiring to the Pi is incorrect.
3.3v is fine. Next should be Keep-on (BCM22), then Shutdown (BCM22) then low battery (BCM17)

@Spruc3Moose Have you amended your /boot/config.txt to include the following line:
Code: Select all
dtoverlay=gpio-poweroff,gpiopin=22,active_low="y"
